I had the honor of contributing to the preparation of a remarkable performance by the young Police Symphony Orchestra from Police nad Metují. These passionate musicians decided to push their boundaries and sell out a large venue, marking their debut on a truly big stage. Their ambition and determination immediately caught my attention, and I eagerly took on the task of designing the stage, lighting, and projections for their performance.
When designing the stage, I focused on the orchestra's needs while also creating an overall atmosphere that would elevate the concert experience. A key element that added dynamism and visual impact to the performance was the LED wall, which we used for projections. These projections complemented different parts of the performance, adding depth and emotional resonance to the music.
For the lighting, I aimed to harmonize it with both the projections and the music, allowing us to craft a visually engaging environment where the lights would interact with the musical peaks. We used the latest lighting technology from Robe, which provided us with the flexibility and creative freedom to design various lighting scenes. This ensured that every piece of music was enhanced by the appropriate atmosphere, from subtle, intimate moments to powerful, dramatic bursts of light.
For this young orchestra, it was their first time performing on such a large stage, but thanks to meticulous preparation and collaboration, we managed to create an unforgettable experience for both the musicians and the audience. The concert was a testament to the idea that with enough determination and the right team, even the boldest goals can be achieved.
